On December 16 2013, Forbes released the list of the 100 most influential celebrities in Brazil this year. It is the first time that the magazine produced such a ranking for the country. And in the land of football, Pelé tops the list to as King of Celebrities. Other former and current football players made it in the top 10 such as Neymar (#3), Ronaldo Fenômeno (#6), Ronaldinho Gaúcho (#7) and Kaká (#8).
The 100 celebrities include athletes, entertainers, models, comedians, actors and singers. They were all evaluated based on their international prestige, income, popularity, career longevity and current presence in the news and on social media.
Pelé is still the name associated with Brazil today more than three decades after he retired from football.
